A Little Bit About Me

Originally from Lincolnshire, I moved to the Southwest to study Ecology. During my time at university, I received counselling support, which inspired me to pursue a career in counselling myself. I am passionate about counselling and know first-hand how transformative it can be.

I have worked for several counselling agencies in the Southwest, including The Bereavement Counselling Service, The Windmill Centre, and The Margaret Jackson Centre. I have loved the variety of work and the diversity of people Ive had the privilege to help, and I continue to enjoy this aspect of private practice.

At The Bereavement Counselling Service, I worked with individuals experiencing complex grief and traumatic loss. This experience deepened my understanding of the profound impacts of loss and enhanced my ability to provide compassionate, personalised support to those dealing with bereavement.

I am particularly drawn to Person-Centred counselling because of its optimistic view of peoples potential. I am continually moved by the courage people show in counselling and how, with the right support, they can move toward a brighter future. It is an honour to support others in such a meaningful way.

I begin every therapeutic relationship with deep respect and admiration for people who have overcome numerous obstacles to be in the room with me, seeking a new beginning.

I am a registered member of the BACP, adhering to their code of ethics. I am fully insured and hold a full DBS certificate.
